Nevertheless, many people with busy schedules wonder if it is possible to make home workouts as effective as in the gym. The main advantage of working out at the gym is equipment. For an average person, it is impossible to make a home gym as big and functional as the real one. Having a big variety of exercise machines has a lot of pros: you can choose multiple exercises for different muscles. You will find anything you can need for a good workout at the real gym.

Another important advantage of working out at the gym is professional help. For example, you can hire a personal trainer who will develop a training program based on your needs. They will also make sure you are doing everything right so you will not hurt yourself. 

Are there any disadvantages? Yes, gym memberships can be very expensive and not everyone can afford it. In addition to this, in the busy world, we live it may be difficult to find time to go to the gym and workout. 

As for the home workouts, the main advantage is convenience. You do not need to go anywhere to exercise. Many people state that it is easier to find time for a workout at home than it is to go to the gym. You can exercise between your work or household responsibilities. It is also important to state that people who workout at home do it regularly, as it saves a lot of time and is more convenient in general.

As for the disadvantages, they are obvious. First of all, you will not have the same equipment and possibilities at the gym. It may be more difficult to gain muscles at home than at the real gym. Moreover, there can be no professional help if needed. However, for an average person, working out at home will be more than enough to keep the body fit and healthy. The basic set of dumbbells and resistance bands will be a good start. Moreover, there are hundreds of training programs that can be easily found online. 

In this perspective, there can be no clear answer to what is better: gym or home workouts as both options have several advantages and disadvantages. If you have a tight schedule, we would recommend buying the basic equipment and train at home. It is better to do something regularly for better results. However, if you have some serious body goals such as building up muscles or becoming a bodybuilder, the gym is the way to go. Of course, if you have the time and money for a gym membership and a personal trainer, it would be the best option.
